Welcome to Alexandria, Nebraska

Alexandria, NE., established in 1872 and named for founder Silas Alexander, is on Highway 53, seven miles north of Highway 136 or five miles south of Highway 4. Located on The Big Sandy Creek and near The Little Blue River, it offers hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. Paved access leads to the Alexandria State Lakes with hook-ups, restrooms and a dump station that provide year-round camping and fishing.

  • Monday 27, 2013, 10:00 A.M. -- Memorial Day Services at Alexandria Legion Hall, followed by Pot Luck Luncheon.  Donations being accepted by Alexandria Alumni to repair and paint interior of the gym portion of the Community Center.
