Welcome to Alexandria, Nebraska

Alexandria, NE., established in 1872 and named for founder Silas Alexander, is on Highway 53, seven miles north of Highway 136 or five miles south of Highway 4. Located on The Big Sandy Creek and near The Little Blue River, it offers hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. Paved access leads to the Alexandria State Lakes with hook-ups, restrooms and a dump station that provide year-round camping and fishing.

  • Indoor Garage Sale - Saturday, August 1, at the Alexandria Community Center gym from 10 AM to 3:00 PM.  Table rent is $20.00 with option for a 2nd table for $10.00.  Reserve table by July 25.  Cookies, coffee, tea for free will offering.  Call Lisa, 402-432-2502 for information and to reserve table.  Gym open Friday night 6:00 to 8:00 PM to set up space.  Proceeds to help Village with expense of air conditioning in lunch room.  Sponsored by Alexandria Community Club.
