Welcome to Alexandria, Nebraska

Alexandria, NE., established in 1872 and named for founder Silas Alexander, is on Highway 53, seven miles north of Highway 136 or five miles south of Highway 4. Located on The Big Sandy Creek and near The Little Blue River, it offers hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. Paved access leads to the Alexandria State Lakes with hook-ups, restrooms and a dump station that provide year-round camping and fishing.

  • April 19th - Easter egg hunt at 2:00 p.m.

  • May thru August weekly yard of the week / garden of the week judging with weekly winners. Details posted at the Post Office.

  • October 31 - Halloween  - cocoa & cookies at the Legion Hall.

  • December 20 at 2 p.m. - Santa here, pictures with Santa, cookies/cocoa at the Legion Hall. Judging of Christmas lights.
