Why did Carol run away from Alexandria?
Why? Because Carol spent her whole life afraid–she understood fear far better than courage. Everything she was doing, particularly in Alexandria, was a way to show she had conquered fear and she now was more like Rick and Daryl instead of a scared abused wife.
